Discontinuity surfaces in the atmosphere, weather fronts, structure and importance of the tropopause, jetstreams, energy exchange in synoptic systems, thermic and mechanic effects, traditional and advanced methods of the synoptic analysis, forecasting of synoptic situations, prediction of individual meteorological elements, forecasts for special tasks, possibilities to forecast the hydrostatic instability.
