The satellite receiving station has acquired more than 20,000 NOAA overpasses since 2003. Because real-time multispectral MODIS data are also acquired, there is no real-time processing of the NOAA/HRPT data. Both the MODIS and NOAA/HRPT data are continously archived, yielding a datebase for many research.
